A day in the life

I read a friends blog the other day and she decided to document one full day of her life as a mom of twins. Well I don't have twins, but I liked the idea. So one day when I am a really old grandmother I can look back and remember my simple days with just Wilson. So all week I have been thinking about doing this, but everyday seemed to be a little out of the ordinary so I kept waiting and waiting, until I realized no day is going to be the same so I should just do it.

So this was yesterday for us. The night before was a bad one. Wilson is teething so he woke up about 6 times in the night. Finally at 6:30 am I put him in bed with me hoping to get a little sleep.

7:10 We get up because he is just kicking me. Time to nurse. While that is going on Ryan leaves for work.

7:30 time for a little breakfast. Cereal and banana's!

And about this time the cat wakes up and screams at the door until I let him out.

7:50 time to change diaper and get dressed.

9:20 time for first nap cause we are tired.

10:05 wake early from nap crying.

10:15 after crying for 10 minutes go back to sleep

10:20 I go down stair and do my hair and get dressed. Meanwhile the cat now wants in so he can take a nap and the other cat is hungry.

11:00 baby wake up and time to nurse and have lunch. Green beans and more banana's yum!

11:30 time to play!

12:00 go visit neighbor

12:30 snack time graham crackers and juice and more playing!

1:20 time for nap 2

3:00 time to nurse

5:00 nap 3

5:10 Daddy surprises us with visit before he goes to Fantasy football picks!

5:35 baby wakes up to see daddy!

5:45 daddy leaves to go do fantasy football picks

6:00 make a quick visit to the store for a good deal on soda!

7:00 dinner time. Cereal chicken and sweet potatoes and peaches!

8:00 daddy comes home!

9:00 nurse and bed!

Okay so while I was pretty good at taking pictures of our day I wasn't so good about keeping track of time. That is pretty close but we could be off a few times, but you get the idea.

Since Wilson was born I have always wrapped him in his blanket to go to sleep. And well for the last I don't know 5 months he would fall asleep, but wake up later because he got his arms out of his wrap. Most of the time I can wrap him back up and he will go to sleep, but sometimes he wont. So it was time that he learned to go to sleep without being wrapped. Yesterday was the day. I put him in his bed on his back and left the room. He cried and cried for a good 10 minutes and then fell asleep. Here is nap number 1. On the other side of the crib on his stomach.

Nap 2 put him in his bed he cried maybe 7 minutes this time and fell asleep. Here he is again on the other side of the crib on his stomach.

Nap 3 - always a hard one. He doesn't seem to think that he needs to sleep, but he is so tired. Needless to say that it was a hard one. He cried I don't know maybe about 15 minutes and then I came in to find him sleeping on his bumper!

Nap 1 today - I was so sure we would be crying today too, but I put him down he started talking to himself and I don't know about 5 minutes later he was asleep on the original side of the crib and just on his side!

Naps might just be easy yet!

On another note, I have decide this baby weight has got to go! So yesterday I started to work out on the treadmill and to watch what I eat. It didn't go as well as planned seeing as how I had a shake at 9 pm last night, but I tried. That counts right? Well wish me luck. I have a lot to loose.

Big Day!

Today was a big day for Wilson. I was sitting on the couch watching and I look over and decided to pull himself up on the coffee table. He did it all by himself and even stood there for a minute too before I made him sit back down before he fell. Well little did I know I would be spending the rest of the day doing that. Well that and consoling him when he fell and bonked his head. And later that afternoon I put my finger in his mouth to check on his tooth and what do you know I found another one! Whew he was busy and I am exhausted. I think I can pinpoint today as the day that my life has officially changed to having a baby on the move.

On another note is everyone I know on a hiatus from blogging?

You paid how much for that?

The other day of got a coupon in the mail from JCPenny's for $10 off a purchase of $10 or more. So Wilson and I took a trip over there today and look what we got for yes that is right exactly $10 so we paid 0.00! Keep those coupons coming!

Facebook

So I finally did it. I broke down and joined facebook. Ryan and I have been avoiding it. Come to think of it I really don't know why, but today I was bored and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. So I have to say. I have no idea what on earth I am doing. I just tried to upload pictures and it didn't work.... oh well I guess I will figure it out eventually. So please if you are on facebook send me a friend request!

Blonde moment or mommy moment you be the judge...

My ward has been organizing activities for all the stay at home moms in the ward. We go to different places a few times a week. Well yesterday we went to Copperton park (fun park!) as I was walking up towards the park I started to read their signs and I noticed one of those boxes that has little bags to pick up your dogs poo-poo and I thought to myself "oh this park lets you bring your dog, I should have brought my dog..... (long pause) I don't have a dog!!! What is wrong with me!"

Needless to say I had a good laugh about it all day!

What to write about?

Well it is official. As of last Thursday I have had my blog for two years! Isn't that crazy. So I have to admit I come and look at my blog everyday and think I should post something, but stop because I have no idea what to post. So then I just go look at other blogs and wish I was more interesting, more articulate and in general had something to blog about. Well today I came across someones blog and they wrote about how when they started their blog they wanted to get lots of traffic lots of comments and being interesting, but that it didn't go well. It wasn't until she got pregnant and was just posting about that, that she got lots of people to look at her blog. And now she doesn't care about traffic and comments she just uses it as a journal.

Isn't that just the way things go? I actually started this blog as a way of telling people I was pregnant. And since then it really has been a way of updating on my growing little boy and as a journal for our lives, because I too am terrible at writing in a journal. So I am going to try to make a commitment to write blogs not caring who reads them, but as a way to document my life. So here I go.

What is the big boy up too recently:

1. He has his first tooth! It is on the bottom. It just broke through the skin a week ago. I haven't really experienced getting bit yet, but I am sure that is coming.

2. He still isn't crawling, just rolling and that is even minimum (accept in his bed at night). Yesterday at church we sat him on the floor next to a little boy that is about 3 months younger than him and he had a toy that made noise and Wilson wanted it. So what do you know he got on his belly scooted his way to the little boy and took his toy! Loved the scooting, not a big fan of taking others toys and am a little worried he might be a bully. His big size doesn't help that worry.

3. He is now in the phase of life where all of his toys aren't that interesting, but anything that Ryan or I have is awesome and he wants it that second and if you don't give it to him or you take it away he has a tantrum.

What is going on with me:

1. Now that camp is over not much. Just trying to relax and get Wilson back on schedule.

2. We saw Harry Potter a few weeks ago with some friends. I have not really read the books. I have tried a couple of times to start them but could never get into them. Well after seeing that movie I really wanted to know how things end, but Ryan refused to tell me and threatened anyone who offered. So I broke down and decided to try to read the 7th one. And I did. I read it pretty fast too. Good book. Now I think I am going to read them all in reverse. Not back of the book to the front, but now I will read the sixth then the fifth and so on.

3. My young woman's presidency got changed. I am still the same, but now have a different president. I am really excited to work with her.

That is all I can think of right now. I will post again soon! Maybe some pictures next time!

Wow I am exhausted. We just finished up girls camp yesterday and I am no so tired and I'm not even the camp director. She must be so exhausted. I have a new understand and love for camp directors. I look back at my time in Young Woman's and all the woman how helped put on amazing camps for me and I am just in awe of how they did it! What amazing woman! Camp is so worth the time and effort put in and I am so glad that I got to be a small part of it this year! I now hope to be back to blogging now that camp isn't taking up all my spare time.
