Only 242 days until Christmas!

We know what you’re thinking, 242 days is a long time and we still have to have birthdays, baseball season and the last day of April. Well, that is a good point. Still, we love the holidays and this holiday season will be really great. Last year we went on a cruise and between that and Ryan’s studying for the cpa exam and Mindi’s conversion at work, the whole holiday season was kind of whirlwind. This year will be more fun. We will spend the holidays at home and have more time to relax and enjoy time with family. Plus, there will be no studying for Ryan and no job stress for Mindi. It will just be a wonderful time for our family: Ryan, Mindi, Toby, Jeeves and the baby, all of us enjoying a little holiday cheer with the people we hold dear. We can’t wait, 242 days is such a long time!

SICK!

Well it officially sucks having morning sickness and by the way it isn't just in the morning it is alllllllllllll the time! I have been laying down either on our couch or in bed since last night at 8:00 pm (it is now 4:00 pm) which makes it 20 hours! Last night was probably the worst it has been. Ryan's work has an after busy season party that we went to. They had a BBQ at their office outside in the sun and about 20 minutes of that and I was sick. We were supposed to go to a Blaze game after dinner, but I was too sick to go so we went home. Today was the Red and White game for the Utes and I was supposed to go to that also, but not wanting to risk anything I stayed home while Ryan went. We still haven't told anyone we are pregant, but Ryan thinks the whole world knows because I am not a good faker of feeling good. I guess we will find out soon enough. Oh, my doctor's office called me yesterday because they needed to reschedule my appointment. It was supposed to be this coming Wed., but is not the following Monday. I wont lie and was dissapointed and the girl who called me didn't seem to care. Needless to say I was not impressed with the doctor that I have not yet met. I guess we will find out in 8 days.

6 Weeks

Last Tuesday I was officially 6 weeks along and wow am I feeling sick!!! Things were going okay, I was feeling tired and a little moody until I went to Florida for work. While I was there I couldn't decide if it was the fact that I wasn't sleeping or that I was eating a lot of food, but I felt sick. So it wasn't until I got home that I really decided that it must be the baby making me sick because I haven't felt good since I left. I know it will all be worth it in the end, but man this really sucks! The picture below show the size of the baby! Still so small...

Florida

This last week I had the opportunity to go to Florida for a conference. We were there for five days and it rained for three of those days. Needless to say we didn't get so do anything too exciting. However on the last day we were there after the conference was over we got to go to the driving rang. It was my first time golfing ever and I must admit golfing is really hard. Lucky for me I had Amy and Susan there to show me what to do. Here are some pictures.

Whit and Jane

Last Saturday I had the chance to go to lunch with one of my best friends Whitney and her adorable daughter Jane. Whit and I have been friends for a couple of years. We meet in sorority, but we became ever better friends when we started working together. Since I left there and moved far away we don't see or talk to each other very much. I miss them. So it was nice to go to lunch and catch up.

Easter!

Ryan and I had the chance to spend some time with our families on Easter and the day before. Here are some fun pictures!!!

Sick?

So an update on how I am feeling. Today it seemed that every twenty minutes I was hungry and had to eat something. Just a few crackers or something usually did the trick and if I didn't eat my stomach did feel well. I think I went to the bathroom at work at least 4 times today, but that mostly had to do with the fact that I almost drank my whole 64 oz. of water at work! And tonight my stomach feels upset. I don't know if I can attribute that to the baby or what I ate for dinner or if I just ate too much. I must admit through that I want to feel sick just so I know that the baby is there and okay! Tomorrow Ryan and I are planning on going out to celebrate our news! I am so excited, but I haven't quite decided where we should go. I will write again tomorrow about where we went!

Day 4

Well we have know that we are having a baby for 4 days now and it still doesn't seem real. As far as symptoms go I don't really have any of the big ones. My lower stomach feels weird almost like it is stretching which I guess makes sense and I am so uncomfortable at night that sleeping is hard oh and I can definatly feel the moodiness (poor Ryan), but other than that I don't feel sick or anything. I guess we will just wait and see. I made my first doctor's appointment for April 23rd and I truly can't wait. It seems like it is so long away. I went to lunch with my mother yesterday and successfully didn't tell her. She didn't suspect a thing either. I can totally make it until mother's day not telling anyone!

Poppy Seed

Being a first time mom and all I dont' know what is going on so I find myself reading a lot about it. I found out today that our baby is currently the size of a poppy seed (see picture). That is so small. I also found out that I am not supposed to eat deli meat. That really stinks.

Well after trying for 3 months it finally happen! We are pregnant!!! I really can't beleive. We are both in shock. It was kinda funny how we found out. I took the test and when it was time to look I took it to Ryan to have him look at it. He actually thought I had looked and found out it was negative so he looked at it once and saw the one line and gave me a sad look. I then turned it over and looked at it and was shocked when it showed a positive. I just stared at it. Then Ryan looked again and we were both in shock! Needless to say I stared at it for a good portion of the morning. How blessed we are!!!!!

Halloween

Graduation

Well this is going to seem strange, but I graduated from the U in August of 2006 and Ryan graduated in December 2006 and these are the pictures. They have been stuck on my camera and I didn't do anything with them. So here they are!

This is Ryan graduating with his Masters in Accounting!!! By the way we just found out that Ryan passed his 2nd CPA test. Hooray only 2 more to go!

Finally real pictures!

After searching for FOREVER I finally found the cord that allows me to download pictures from my camera. I had 143 pictures so I have a lot to share!!!

I will start with my babies!!! This is Toby and Jeeves. They are my cats. We got Toby a year ago next month when he was a baby. We got Jeeves I do believe in July of last year. He was full grown when we got him. It took a few weeks to like each other, but now they are together all the time.

I was looking through some our stuff the other day trying to find the a cord that hooks to my camera when I came across this cute picture of my husband. Adorable!!! From what I gather from his family he was either in Jr. High or just in High School.

On another note Ryan informed me that he will not be posting any more blogs until I have show him how to add/delete pictures. I am torn because part of me wants him to post blogs, but the other part doesn't want him to delete cute pictures.

Twilight the movie

I recently learned that Twilight the movie is being made!!!!! It is due to come to theaters in December of this year. I am so excited. The picture to the left is of Stephanie Meyers (the writer of the book) and Bella and Edward from the book. I think they did a pretty good job of casting these two. He defiantly looks like a vampire to me! She, well I am not sure about her, but I am so excited about the movie that it doesn't really matter.

Ryan

I must admit it is nice to finally have something to do (read) while Ryan studies for the CPA.

Speaking of the CPA tests. Ryan took his third section of the CPA test a month ago and has not heard back on the score (they told him 3 weeks). I know he passed, but he is so worried about it.

New Moon

I finish the second book in the Twilight series New Moon last night. While I really enjoyed the book the first book by far was better. This one seemed to be longer and move much slower. I look forward to reading the third one. I hope to start it in the next few days.

Sorry

Wow, I was so good about posting for a while there and now I just suck at it. I don't really have much to say today either. It was a hard day at work and then Ryan had to work late tonight. I am pretty bored at the moment. I played my piano for a little while and now I am looking for something new to do.

Twilight

I have found a love for books. I recently read in 4 days (fastest I have ever read a book) Twilight. It honestly was really good. I can see why everyone loves it! It kept my interest through the whole book, however I do have to confess that the ending was not my favorite. I was wishing for something more when it just ended. Oh well now onto the next book in the series. I am sure it will be just as good at this one. I hope that I will continue to read as much as I have been lately. I never knew reading could be so much fun!
